Consultation & Check-Up

Consultation usually includes performing a detailed dental check-up and discussing your concerns. A dental check-up is basically an evaluation of the current condition of your teeth and mouth. There is nothing to be worry or embarrassed about, it is just a very thorough look around so we can get an accurate picture of your oral health. It is also recommended that you go for dental consultation at least once a year.

Scaling & Polishing

Scaling is a common dental procedure to remove plaque and tartar around the teeth and along the gum line. If left to accumulate, plaque and tartar will harbor bacteria that can cause decay and gum disease. We perform scaling using the advanced Anthos® u-PZ7 ultrasonic scalers – thereby offering a more effective and comfortable dental experience, when compared to traditional hand scaling.

After scaling is completed, we then carry out polishing of the teeth to remove external stains and smooth out their surfaces. We do this by using air powered tooth polishing system NSK® Prophy-Mate neo coupled with NSK® Flash Pearl. The result of this is clean, smooth and glossy teeth that is easier for you to maintain at home.

Root Planing

Root planing is the procedure of smoothing rough surfaces and remove the subgingival bacteria. During root planing, we clean deep below the gums to remove plaque and tartar buildup on the roots of teeth where the bones are affected by the infection. While it may sound daunting, the procedure can do a lot of wonders for individuals with unhealthy gums and loose teeth. Additionally, there are other oral health advantages that come with it, including healthy teeth, better breath, and prevention of future infections.

Filling

Filling is a way to restore a tooth damaged by decay back to its normal function and shape. When we give you a filling, we first remove the decayed tooth material, clean the affected area, and then fill the cleaned out cavity with a filling material. The right type of filling for you will be determined by the extent of the repair, whether you have allergies to certain materials, where in your mouth the filling is needed, and the cost. We have composite and glass ionomer cement (GIC) in store for you.

Veneers

Veneer is a thin layer of restorative material that is bonded onto the front side of a tooth. Essentially, veneers are shells that are bonded to the front of the teeth, changing their color, shape, size, or length. It is a conservative method to protect a damaged tooth surface, or to improve the aesthetics of a tooth – providing clients with strong, beautiful and natural looking smiles. Material wise, EMAX veneers not only are more tough and durable than composite but they also look exactly like your other teeth.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening is a highly effective way of lightening the natural colour of your teeth without removing any of the tooth surfaces. Our Beyond® whitening system (USA) utilizes a cavitation process that permits the whitening gel 37% hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) to target the enamel more comprehensively and in a shorter time frame. This means less chair time for you, less potential for sensitivity and the same great whitening results you’ve come to expect.

Fluorosis Treatment

Occurring on the tooth surface, fluorosis is a tooth defect indicated by white or brown discolorations on the tooth surface, as a result of excessive fluoride intake when teeth are forming. Although minor fluorosis usually will not cause any dental problem, it can lead to aesthetic concerns. Our fluorosis treatment can be done invasively using the DMG® Icon Resin Infiltration (ICON), a revolutionary technology to fill and reinforce demineralized enamel without drilling or anesthesia.

Tooth Extraction

Tooth extraction is the permanent removal of a tooth from its socket and a relatively quick procedure with either local, general, intravenous anesthesia, or a combination. Removing visible teeth is a simple extraction but teeth that are broken, below the surface, or impacted require a more complicated procedure.

Wisdom Tooth Removal

Wisdom tooth removal is a surgical procedure to remove one or more wisdom teeth — the four permanent adult teeth located at the back corners of your mouth on the top and bottom. If a wisdom tooth doesn’t have room to grow (impacted wisdom tooth), resulting in pain, infection or other dental problems, you’ll likely need to have it pulled. To prevent potential future problems, we sometimes still recommend wisdom tooth extraction even if impacted teeth aren’t currently causing problems.

Braces

Braces are dental tools that help correct problems with your teeth, Many people get braces when they’re teenagers, but adults get them too. As you wear them, braces slowly straighten and align your teeth so you have a normal bite or a better smile.

In terms of benefits:

  1. Aligner
  2. Self-ligating braces
  3. Conventional braces

Retainers & Mouthguards

Although both might look similar and are made of transparent plastic-like material, they are not the same thing. Retainers are designed to help teeth stay in place after you complete your braces while mouthguards are designed to protect teeth from damage or wear due to bruxism (teeth grinding and clenching).

Crowns

A crown is a tooth-shaped “cap” that is placed over a tooth to cover the tooth to restore its shape and size, strength, and improve its appearance. The crown will be cemented on the tooth permanently. Material wise, zirconia offers more natural appearance, superior strength and durability, as compared to PFM.

Bridges

A bridge is made up of two or more crowns. It replaces one or more missing teeth by permanently joining an artificial tooth to adjacent teeth. Far more superior than a partial dentures, bridges enables you to eat and speak better as well as restores your teeth’s appearance. Material wise, zirconia offers more natural appearance, superior strength and durability, as compared to PFM.

Root Canal Treatment

Root canal treatment is a dental procedure to eliminate bacteria from the infected root canal, prevent reinfection of the tooth, and ultimately save the tooth that might otherwise has to be removed completely. First, the inflamed or infected pulp is removed and the inside of the tooth is carefully cleaned and disinfected, then filled and sealed. Integrated with induction micromotor and electronic apex locator, our state-of-the-art Anthos® A5 dental chair comes with a built-in advanced technology to make root canal treatment an excellent way to help save a tooth – quick, safe and pain-free.

Dentures

A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. Two types of dentures are available – complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain. Made from flexible plastic material, flexible dentures are thinner, lighter, stronger, more durable and flexible than acrylic dentures.

Fluoride Treatment

Fluoride is a natural mineral that builds strong teeth and prevents cavities. We only takes a few minutes to provide fluoride treatment in the form of a highly concentrated gel, This treatment has much more fluoride than what’s in your toothpaste. It not only helps to repair weakened tooth enamel by replenishing lost calcium and phosphate, but also to make your teeth more resistant to future decay.

X-ray

Dental x-rays are images of your teeth that we use to evaluate your oral health and to identify problems, like cavities, tooth decay, and impacted teeth. An orthopantomagram (OPG) is a panoramic picture of your jaws while a posteroanterior (PA) shows a small section of your upper or lower teeth.
